Complete Integration of Stripe Terminals into ggLeap Web Admin illustration

User Story:
As an employee at a venue using ggLeap Web Admin, I need the ability to integrate Stripe terminal devices so that payments can be processed seamlessly and the transaction data flows directly into our accounting software, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Acceptance Criteria:

  1. Device Integration:

    • Stripe terminal devices should be recognized and integrated within the ggLeap Web Admin interface.

    • Employees should be able to initiate a payment from Web Admin and process the transaction via the connected Stripe terminal device.

  2. Automated Data Flow:

    • Transaction data from the Stripe terminal should flow automatically into ggLeap and the venue's accounting software, reducing the need for manual data entry.

    • The system should map and transfer relevant data such as revenue items, VAT codes, and prices correctly.

  3. Real-Time Transaction Status:

    • The Web Admin should display the transaction status in real-time as it is processed through the Stripe terminal.

    • Any declines or errors from the Stripe terminal should prompt immediate feedback in the Web Admin for corrective action.

  4. Financial Reconciliation:

    • The integration must support the reconciliation process by providing matching transaction IDs or reference numbers across ggLeap Web Admin, Stripe, and the accounting software.

    • End-of-day reports should reflect accurate totals for each payment method (cash, credit card, debit card, etc.) for easy comparison with Stripe's reporting.

  5. Comprehensive Reporting:

    • Reporting features in ggLeap should allow for detailed breakdowns of transactions by payment method, including third-party payment services like Apple Pay or Google Pay used via Stripe.

    • It should be possible to generate reports that align with Stripe's transaction data for verification purposes.

  6. Customer Experience:

    • The payment process should be transparent and straightforward for the customer, with clear prompts and notifications during the payment process.

    • Receipts generated for the customer should accurately reflect the payment method and details of the transaction.

  7. Technical Support and Updates:

    • Support for ongoing updates and technical assistance should be provided to ensure the integration remains functional with any Stripe or ggLeap updates.

    • A clear process should be in place for troubleshooting any issues that arise with the Stripe terminal integration.

Out of Scope:

  • Modifying Stripe's hardware or software is not included in this user story.

  • Implementing additional payment
